The Old Church on the Hill has been operating since 2013 and in that time has become a vibrant hub of the Spring Gully community. Through the tireless efforts and dedication of passionate volunteers, they have transformed a previously under-utilised place into a thriving community asset that is loved by so many.

As a community space, they cater for activities and events such as their Kitchen Garden & sustainability learning space, Children’s Playgroup, Mindfulness & Yoga classes, as well as countless other gatherings that revolve around live music, local food, friendship & sharing. As they say, “there is truly something for everyone!”

Aspiring to create a space that welcomes everyone, the Old Church on the Hill is currently limited in fully achieving this goal. The problem is their toilet facilities don’t cater for wheelchair users. As they see it, this just won’t do!

Now, in theory, the solution is simple; build a new toilet block that enables access to all. However until now, their redevelopments have been funded out of the kindness and generosity of friends of the Old Church community in donations of time, money and resources. Additionally, they have held two Spring Fairs and many smaller fundraising activities but alone are unable to reach the amount needed to see this project get off the ground.

To help achieve their goal of $10,000 needed to fund this project, they too have set up a campaign on Big Give. All money raised on Big Give will greatly assist The Old Church on the Hill in realising their potential to be the place for all. We are excited to see the Old Church on the Hill accomplish their fundraising objective on Big Give.
